Digital X-rays

What are digital X-rays?

Digital X-rays are diagnostic imaging technology used by our dentists to examine your teeth and supporting oral structures. Using a small digital sensor, X-rays capture images of your teeth and mouth and then transmit them to a nearby monitor. Our dentists can then review them to provide you with a diagnosis and plan any treatments you may need.

Are digital X-rays safe?

Yes! Digital X-rays produce up to 90% less radiation than film X-rays and less radiation than what you are exposed to by the sun during your regular daily activities. Children & Family Dentistry & Braces also maintains high standards of health and safety, and we follow all regulations for routine inspections of X-ray machines to ensure they are functioning well and are safe for use.
