THE AMERICAN DENTAL ASSOCIATION RECOMMENDS TWO CLEANINGS/EXAM A YEAR
Implant maintenance refers to the routine care needed to keep your dental implants functioning properly. Implants require the same care as your natural teeth to stay in good condition.
You will need to maintain good oral hygiene with daily brushing and flossing as well, as making and keeping regular dental appointments to receive preventive care. Our dentists may recommend additional treatments or oral hygiene aids, depending on your needs.
Our dentists will check your dental implants during your regular dental cleanings and exams. It is important that you keep these routine appointments so that we can monitor your oral health and ensure your implants are functioning properly for you. We also encourage you to call us as soon as possible if you experience pain, injury, discomfort or other issues with your dental implants so you can receive emergency care.
Dental implants are permanent replacements for your missing teeth. They are considered the optimal option for replacing teeth as they replace both the crowns and the roots of your teeth, giving you a highly stable solution that promotes better long-term oral health and function. Implants look, feel and function exactly like your original teeth, and like your original teeth, they require regular care to keep them in good condition.
Implants need to receive the same kind of care as your natural teeth. This means regular brushing and flossing to maintain good oral hygiene, as well as receiving preventive care at your routine dental appointments. This helps keep your teeth and mouth free from plaque, tartar and disease-causing bacteria and ensures that your implants remain in good condition.
Our dentists will check your teeth and mouth for signs of developing problems during your regular dental exams. This includes checking your implants to ensure that they are functioning properly. X-rays will be taken as needed, and depending on the findings of your exam, our dentists may recommend that you use oral hygiene aids or receive additional care.
We recommend that you visit Children & Family Dentistry & Braces every six months for routine cleanings and exams. We also encourage you to make an emergency appointment if you experience pain, injury or other dental problems.
